Twin 300m, 55 storey residential towers in prestigious district of Worli, Mumbai.

After a statutory change and loss of huge free balconies, we were asked to redesign a previous triple tower scheme of cylindrical towers finished in shimmering stainless steel to twin towers in classic 1920's New York Art Deco style!

Structure and core placed external to the apartments were GFA-free. These elements, along with the deep setbacks  define the building form and overt vertical expression - a strong characteristic of the language adopted by many iconic Art Deco skyscrapers.

In true Art Deco style, the silhouette of the building is key - the crown, the base, interaction of the street and the middle expanse of the building.

Facade to car park podium is carefully considered, anchoring  the towers to its urban surroundings.
