aCTa has recently won an invited competition to master plan and provide architecture for 55 acre residential development in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

To be built in a number of phases, and at a very low cost, our proposal centered on a number of key aspects:-

• All car parking hidden
• Views out to surrounding countryside
• No east or west facing units to avoid low sun.

The language is derived from careful arrangement of precast RC panels of grey and off white for the 12 storey main wing that runs East West, in contrast to the wings that project North and South rendered in a dark brown to create interest and sense of place.
